Issue Position

A person's health is not a commodity, and health care is not a privilege for those who can afford it. A person can not survive lack of health care any more than they can survive lack of food and water, which is why I believe that health care is a human right. The Republican party's immoral refusal to expand Medicaid in Georgia has resulted in the decimation of health care providers in our rural communities, throwing thousands of sick Georgians into debt, bankruptcy and even death. I will fight to ensure that every Georgian, regardless of income, has access to affordable health care.
